Story Box Movies film editor, music composer and grammatical genius #APH20
Where I lived @20:
In a single room in Whidden Hall, a residence at McMaster University that was supposedly an inspiration for Animal House.
What I did @20:
I was a second-year student in McMaster’s Arts & Science Programme, also taking acting and drama courses in the Theatre Department, and getting involved in student leadership through the Inter-Residence Council.
What I dreamt @20:
I think that may have been the era when I was dreaming about building some kind of collective farm with a bunch of my classmates.
My favourite song @20:
No idea, but in addition to the Grateful Dead, Jimi Hendrix and the Beatles I was going out for some great Hamilton and Toronto bands like Hopping Penguins, Shadowy Men on a Shadowy Planet and the Dik Van Dykes.
What I wore @20:
Baggy clothes, tending towards the androgynous. Or fishnets, a skirt, leather jacket, makeup and crimped hair for a Rocky Horror Picture Show screening.
Who I loved @20:
Nicola and Helen.
What made headlines when I was @20:
Exxon Valdez spill, and a fatwa issues against author Salman Rushdie over his novel The Satanic Verses.
